Orthodontic care aligns crooked teeth and jaw problems with braces, clear aligners, or other appliances. It improves the functioning of your bite, speech, and general oral health as well as the aesthetics of your smile.
The American Association of Orthodontists suggests the initial orthodontic visit at seven years old. The initial visit will assess if there are alignment and growth issues that can be treated before they become more severe.

Indications that your child may need braces are:

  • Crowded or overlapping teeth
  • Trouble chewing or biting
  • Thumb-sucking after age five
  • Spaces between teeth
  • Premature or delayed loss of baby teeth
A consultation with our orthodontist will help decide whether or not treatment is needed.
  • Orthodontic metal braces: Proven, reliable, and robust for each and every case
  • Ceramic braces: Less visible than metal braces
  • Lingual braces: Placed at the back of the teeth to be invisible
  • Clear aligners: Removable, transparent trays for mild to moderate alignment issues
Treatment duration differs but is generally between 12 to 24 months. Complex cases take more time, whereas slight adjustments are done in shorter time.
Braces are sometimes uncomfortable, particularly after a brace adjustment, but the soreness resolves in a few days. Over-the-counter pain relievers and soft foods can alleviate discomfort.
Most patients see them every 4 to 8 weeks for adjustments and check-ups. They check to make sure treatment is going according to plan.
Yes! A mouthguard is advised to safeguard the teeth and braces against injury during contact sports.

Cutting food into small pieces and eating soft foods can avoid damaging braces.

Yes, but it might take a while to get used to. Braces can be practiced wearing so your child will become accustomed to the sensation. Irritation can be prevented with orthodontic wax.
Clear aligners, such as Invisalign, move teeth slowly with custom-fabricated, removable trays. They are worn for a minimum of 22 hours a day, with changes every one to two weeks as the teeth move.
If a wire or bracket breaks, please call our office immediately. Do not attempt to repair it at home. Cover any rough edges with orthodontic wax until your appointment.
The fee varies based on the treatment type and case complexity. We have flexible payment plans and coordinate with insurance companies to ensure maximum coverage.
